[유튜브 영어자막] - 디에디트 1

유튜버분들 중에 이 언니들이 영업하면 무조건 일단 솔깃하게 됩니다. 취향을 제대로 팔 줄 아는 테크 유튜버라 쓰고 만물 유튜버라 부르고 싶은 디 에디트 분들의 영상 번역해봤습니다. 디에디트 X오원님이 콜라보했던 영상을 보다가 영어권이었으면 둘 다 250만 넘었다.라는 멘트 보고 이 언니들 영상 보니, 아니 영어 자막이 안 달려있던 거예요. 이게 무슨 일이야. 이 언니들은 당연히 왠지 CC 붙어있을 줄 알았단 말이에요. 영상을 잘 보고 있었던 구독자지만, 영어 자막이 당연히 있는 줄 알았습니다. 영어자막에 투자 좀 해주세요, 디에디트!!  그래서 좀 기다리다가 번역해볼만한 영상 기다리고 착수했습니다. (유료광고가 붙은 영상이 아닌 걸로 골라봤습니다.)

2020년에 잘 사고 잘 쓴 물건 리스트 1 (가전편)

물론 저야 테크 유튜버도 아니고, 그저 사는 거 좋아하는 사람이지만 이 언니들이 좋다 그러면 그냥 다 사고 싶어요. 영업 잘 안 당하는 편이고, 저도 제 취향이 좀 독특한 편인데, 디에디트에서 나온 건 왠지 한 번이라도 더 보게 되는 마력이 있습니다. 특히 디자이너가 봐도 잘 뽑아내는 영상 퀄리티며, 예쁜 스튜디오 소품들 보면 보기만 해도 재밌어요. 만담 스타일의 두 분 영상.. 사랑합니다.💜💛💜💛

 

사실 전에 번역해왔던 영상은 Vlog 같은 좀 더 일상이었다면 이렇게 스튜디오 영상을 처음으로 번역해봤는데요. 조금 더 편했다고 해야 할까요? 의경들도 하기 더 수월했고, 뭔가 주변 소음이나 다양한 대사들보다는 아무래도 한 사람이 영상에서 얘기하다 보니 조금 더 수월하게 작업했습니다. 일단 영상 보고 오시죠!

The result of it is just perfectly different. -All good, except the fact that you need a CFexpress Type A memory to record 120 frames per second in 4K. -Only Sony use this format exclusively, and this is also very expensive. -It is about 500$ (USD) for 160GB. -BUT I bought it. -Then, I also need a special reader of that exclusive format. -That costs about 160 USD as well. HAH!! but I bought it. -Please, enjoy this expensive video quality. -An advertisement of this year. -My dad didn't understand how I have earned my money. -But there was a moment that I've finally won his recognition for the first time ever. -In the LG Velvet launch live stream event on May of this year, her daughter's face was shown and he went like "Aw, my daughter is awesome. KEWUL!" -All of our team members, The edit, had really had so much efforts in for a properly high quality of the video within the models who were walking nicely with the VELVET. -We had changed all over of our studio. -The editor H was on the pink tone, and I was on the green tone. -For those two different backgrounds, we organized various props. -For this kind of video footage, Unee PD had been crawled down and holded it for a while. -And then we had filmed it. -It took almost 2 weeks for setting things up and filming it. Due to that kind of efforts, we've got this precious video. -We feel really good for ourselves even until now. -Design of this year goes to Galaxy Z flip. -I was so amazed by the release of the Galaxy Z Flip early this year.
-It looked so pretty. -Because I couldn't get the product before the release, so I reviewed it with a paper version of it. -Color, Size, a folded ratio -- everything was on point. For a comparison between it and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, it feels a bit small and you can't even see the display when you fold it... But I could live with those flaws. -Why? Cuz it was just too pretty. -When it was folded, the square shape of it and the hinge part which is folded cleanly were just phenomenon. -And the retro fever was right on time for this product, so more people were curious about the foldable phone. -It became a thing that customizing the phone with cute key rings, and stickers after it had been released. -And even the editor B also bought the Galaxy Z Flip recently. Maybe because of its design. -No. I just wanted to get the Galaxy Fold 2, but it was too expensive. So I've got this instead. -Um.. Okay... I see.. -A living item for this year goes to iFree FX-200. -The one thing that I feel so proud to buy in this year is this lint remover. -I wear lots of knitwear and coats for winter. Just all winter clothes get lints all over anyway no matter how expensive they are. -But as this lint remover just passes by, magically all lints are gone. -It becomes brand-new clothing. -Don't buy just a random lint remover. -Please buy FX Series -This is a commercial product for dry cleaners. -It is powerful because you use it with a power cord instead of battery. -The cord itself is 2 meter long. -Since its lint container is spacious enough, you can take care of several clothings all at once. -It is just about 39 USD and this is the way to go instead of buying expensive cashmere knitwear. -This just one lint remover is worth of 10 knitwear. -The most popular item of this year goes to iPhone 12 mini. -The iPhone 12 mini has attracted a lot of attention among phones that were released on the second half of this year. -Usually, the apple's mini iphones are low-budget and low spec models within re-using previous form factors. -But that doesn't mean the users who is willing to use smaller phones wants low budget models. -This iphone12 mini is a petite size for perfect hand-on. -But its specs are as same as iphone12 -- a newest chipset & camera. The size of the screen is just 5.4inches, but it is only 133g. -It was much lighter on weight compared to iPhone SE 2nd generation with a 4.7inch screen. -To all of you who prefer just one-hand operation and are missing the Steve Jobs' ideation of iPhone size, it was the best product. -There are lots of issue about its display as much as people are excited for it. -Now it has improved by software, but there was an issue that you won't get enough touch sensitivity with Safety glass on. -Moreover, its battery was also lacking since it is small. -But it is pretty obvious that it was the most popular product of this year because it has its own fan-base already. -We are expecting to see the next iPhone with small size, long lasting battery and three cameras. -A broom of this year is a Dyson omni-glide vacuum. -We all know that Dyson vacuum is great. It's strong and long-lasting. Who doesn't know that? -But it has a critical defect.. It is expensive and you had to pull it with your finger for the whole time when you are using it (Hold&gun method). -So it was inconvenience and your index finger gets hurt to run it for long time. -But the Dyson omni-glide is the last word in vacuums. All complaints will be dealt with this item. -It is just beautiful to be about 55 USD. -When the Dyson was using broom to clean, it was one of those aha moments, when dyson needs this kind of product. -So its handle is shaped like an actual broom. -It's the Dyson's first button-operated wireless vacuum. -There's no dead-zone for this this vacuum since its head moves 360 degrees - forward, backward, and side way. - Around the table legs, under the bed and all the nook and cranny ain't no problem anymore. -I've used it in my home. So it was just perfect product for one-person households just like me. -A brand of this year goes to TESLA. -There's no other brands like TESLA that shows an interesting growth. -Lots of people compare TESLA to Apple. -So actually, this company defines a cars as a device like a smart-phone. -Not only its hardware, they also value its software and sell it separately. -So you have to pay extra for an autopilot mode option even if you buy the car. -So they keep raising the price of it. -They raised it 2,000 USD more recently, so now you have to pay almost 10,000 USD. -It is just not the end of it when you sell a car, but it still make a profit as value-added tax. -Thus, the company's value was dramatically growing and it almost feels like it is too overrated. -TESLA is already worth $600 billion USD (market capitalization) as we are filming this on early December. -Even in Korea, about more than 10,000 Tesla Model 3 were sold. -There are lots of people who became owner of TESLA car around me and they've said like they should've bought TESLA's stocks with the money they had used for buying a TESLA car. -An App of this year goes to Danggeun Market. -I had debated myself a lot while I was picking an App of this year. -But I think this is the right choice of an app of this year. -The total number of downloads hits about 20 million. -The volume of transaction through this app was about KRW 1 trillion. -So it won the second place in the total ranking of shopping apps, defeating very strong rivals like 11st and Wemakeprice. -I could go on and on about all the numbers but I can tell how famous it is by its popularity. It's hard to find someone who doesn't use this app around me. -When I get bored, I also opened the app and skim through it. So then, I can see what is sold around me these days. -We also filmed about who sells better at Daggeun Market on last April. Editor H and Editor B were battling who can sell more of things that they had had in their homes. -It was pretty insane. -So we also have 'Jung-go-Na-Ra' when we think about secondhand app. -But how did the Danggeun market become this much successful? -It is the biggest feature that you can make a deal with people within 4-6km after you authenticate your town. -It's substitute for face to face interactions to transact. -And since you transact with people around you, people can be assured the fraud issue won't happen. -A disappointment of this year goes to MacSafe. -When iphone 12 series came out, the thing that grabbed lots of people's attentions was the MacSafe. -MacSafe was not the name of their product, but the new accessory standard of Apple. -So it makes it easier to detach iPhone and its accessory by using round shaped magnetic. -They have released items like MacSafe Chargers, phone cases and card cases with pretty steep prices. -It is pretty easy to use if they would be on the right place when I try to put them. -The charging speed was not as fast enough as we had expected under the circumstance that the MacSafe charger heat was not controlled fully. -And also MacSafe case kept leaving some circle halo mark on iPhone surface. -So we were excited for MacSafe Wallet can replace ApplePay's absence in Korea. -You can't actually use it under the situation that wallet was attached, but you have to detach it and pull the card out. -It's pretty, but I just want to place it to be scanned. -That's why people rave about Samsung Pay. -Because I was expecting a lot to it, so it was my disappointment of this year. -A subscription of this year goes to Ccatalog. -It's a newsletter that tells you about new products and trends of a week by the 3 editors of The edit -H, M and Myself B. -"I can't wait Friday Morning because of Ccatalog." -"I just purchased it because of Cctalog. " -When we are getting those kind of feedback, it's heartwarming. -If I have to tell you the most interesting item, a website shows the window from all over the world where everybody was quarantined due to COVID was very popular. -And it was also very popular about Apple WWDC specialized newsletter. -And of course the foodie part is always loved. -We are going to do our best to make great contents on it as well. -The number of subscribers is about to reach to the 40,000. -We wish that we can reach the 100,000 subscribers in 2021. -A video of this year goes to a collaboration with ShinDong. -We were so surprised on the day that we were filming. -Couldn't believe that a celebrity visit our studio. And it was even SuperJunior! -And Unee PD is also such a big fan who has been in fan club(ELF) of SuperJunior. -It was crazy. -We had no idea ShinDong was so into tech products and had so much interests in them. -It was such a different mood to film with pro. -The whole atmosphere was great, and the video itself was just hilarious. -So we are picking this as the best video of this year that lots of people have loved. -I became such a close friend of him. -PSYCH!!! 특별히 어렵거나 했던 부분은 굳이 뽑자면, 제가 테크 관련 용어들을 모르니 찾아보면서 했어요. 중간중간 보면서도 한글로도 아니 이게 무슨 말이여.. 했던 부분들이 있었는데 그 부분들은 최대한 검색해서 아는 선에서 번역해봤습니다. 또 하나 어려웠던 건, 디 에디트의 모토 "사는 재미가 없으면 사는 재미라도!" 부분을 잘 녹여내고 싶어서 우리말처럼 라임을 그대로 살려보고 싶어서 bored와 bought단어를 써보고 싶었는데 쉽지 않아서 아예 'To Buy That May Bring Happiness To Your Boring Days' 이렇게 해서 그냥 Buy, Bring, Boring 이 세 단어를 넣기만 해 봤습니다. 의미가 이게 더 스무스한 것 같아서. 

 

+ PSYCH!!! 부분이 또 나옵니다. 저번에 만주야 뭐하니 편에 나온 표현입니다. 다시 한번 알려드리면, 그 바로 전에 했던 말을 취소할 때 쓰는 말, 혹은 상대방을 속일 때 쓰는 말입니다. 발음 그대로 sike!!!라고도 씁니다. psych와 sike 둘 다 뻥이야! 거짓말이야! 속았지! 이런 표현입니다. 

 

+ The one thing that I feel so proud to buy in this year is this lint remover. - 여기에서 나오는 lint remover가 뭘까요? 보풀제거기를 영어로 하면 lint remover입니다. lint라는 표현은 우리말로 하면 보풀 인 셈이죠. 특히 건조기에서 건조 후 제거해줘야 하는 부분 있죠. 보풀이 뭉쳐서 있는 부분... 그것들 생각하시면 됩니다. lint! 

+ Thus, the company's value was dramatically growing and it almost feels like it is too overrated. - 여기서 나오는 overrated라는 부분 많이 쓰실 수 있을 겁니다. overrated ; 과대평가된, 거품인.. 이란 표현이에요. 반대의 표현은 간단히 underrated라고 쓰시면 됩니다. 예를 들면 That singer is so underrated! 하면 저 가수는 너무 과소평가됐어! (능력만큼 유명하지 않거나 할 때 쓸 수 있는 표현이겠죠?)
